Moissanite is one of those stones you have to see in person to really understand.

It's a completely different gemstone with its own chemical composition and optical properties.

And it doesn't need to pretend to be one.

WHAT IS MOISSANITE?

Moissanite is a gemstone made from silicon carbide (SiC).

Natural moissanite is extremely rare, so virtually all moissanite used in jewelry today is created in laboratories.

This allows high-quality stones to be produced with excellent consistency in color, clarity and cut.

But what really makes moissanite special?

THE LIGHT.

This is probably the most impressive characteristic of moissanite.

Moissanite has a higher refractive index than diamond.

MOISSANITE: APPROX. 2.65–2.69

DIAMOND: APPROX. 2.42

The refractive index describes how strongly a material bends light.

Moissanite's higher refractive index contributes to its extremely high brilliance.

It also has greater dispersion, which means it can separate white light into colorful flashes more strongly than diamond.

This is what creates the intense rainbow flashes known as:

FIRE.

Diamond has its own unmistakable brilliance.

Moissanite has a different personality — with especially strong sparkle and colorful fire.

If you like stones that come alive under direct light, moissanite is difficult to ignore.

Clarity refers to the internal and external characteristics present in a gemstone.

These tiny characteristics can become easier or harder to detect depending on their size, position and number.

For our moissanite pieces, we work with stones sold to us as:

Color makes a huge difference to the overall appearance of a stone.

Moissanite can be produced in different color ranges, from colorless stones to stones with warmer yellow or greenish tones.

For the classic bright white appearance, we choose:

D COLOR

D represents the top end of the traditional colorless grading terminology used by sellers for white moissanite.

The result we're looking for is an icy, bright and clean appearance that works perfectly with our jewelry.

THIS IS WHERE THE SPARKLE COMES ALIVE.

Having good material isn't enough.

The stone still needs to be cut properly.

The facets and proportions determine how light travels through the stone and returns to your eyes.

A better cut means better light performance.

That's why for our selected moissanite we look for:
